MyQ not connecting (no option to add generic garage door like there was before)
First, Alexa stopped opening my door when I ask. It was working earlier this morning. SimpleCommands was saying my garage doors are “offline” so I deleted them from SimpleCommands and was going to re-add them. When I attempt to log in to my Chamberlain MyQ account in SimpleCommands, an error message says my credentials are incorrect, which is not true.
This same message occurred for a similar problem 6+ months ago and was resolved by someone in your message board suggesting that you add a “generic garage door” first and THEN log in to your MyQ account. However, they have redesigned the SimpleCommands app and now there is not an option to add a “generic garage door.” Please advise. I use this multiple times a day and it’s a problem when it doesn’t work.

The same thing is happening to me as well. I get a message "invalid credentials" when attempting to add a MyQ opener, using the same password that worked for me in the MyQ app just a moment ago. I also have no "generic garage door" option, so no way to get this working via SimpleCommands.

This has been working with No Issues for Months and stopped working today as all have mentioned. I use via Alexa and Siri. The interface has changed so that there are NO Connection and so get error messages depending on what method is tested but agree with above...that connection for the ITEM is no longer available for MyQ and there is no Connection but there is a categories that appears this has been reworked
Same here also when trying to run the routine from within Simple Command Routines it says" Something went wrong try again later".
Have the same issue. SimpleCommands team might need to reconfigure or re-implement (re-program) their connector
I contacted SimpleCommands this morning and have not heard back. I will post an update if I get one. In the meantime, feel free to reach out to them yourselves and report back. Maybe we can draw some attention to the issue if we all contact them?

I don't have any issues linking my myq account and it allows my to sync successfully. I re-created 4 routines open/close for each door. When I execute the routine in SC, I get "something went wrong" except both garage doors open and close.
I left one of the doors open then using the Home Status skill and alexa reports the south door as being open and when I close it, the status is updated as being closed.
I have the same results when using SMS. I receive "Not Possible to execute the command requested", but the commands do open/close the doors.
I can still control via alexa also.
Not sure what the issue is, but an API change made the most sense.
Same problem. Was working fine for months, and now will not connect to MyQ account. Attempts to "fix connection" do not work.
It’s working for me now! Got a message from simplecommands this morning saying a server was down.
So I tried after seeing the "working now" post and mine did not work... waited a couple hours and tried again as I was getting same result. THEN, I SELECTED the Add/Remove Items and looked at the MyQ Openers and selected Manage and then did a SYNC and items are NOW recognized again. It appears the routines will need to be redone and on mine the associated actions are gone. Would be nice to know a change of this type was coming.
I have tested and things seem to be back to normal using Siri and Alexa after doing the Items sync and then editing all of my routines with the EXCEPTION of Home Status. Home Status works fine in Simple Commands but from Siri and Alexa I receive message that Simple Commands has not devices for the Home Status skill. I have disabled/enabled Home Status in Alexa without success.. I have synched the MyQ Openers again and nothing is making Home Status work. I get the same message using Siri..... will give it some time .. maybe it has to synch somehow...
Was able to get everything working again by completely starting over in SC, Shortcuts, and Alexa apps. The only issue I have now is when I run the Siri shortcut, I get a “Not possible to execute the command requested” error even though the door opens/closes.
Anybody know anything about Livekey Beam? I miss the proximity trigger.
My Siri setup uses SMS and works with no errors. I also added routine using Apple shortcut and get same error.
Does Home Status work for you after starting over?
When I run it from the SC , yes. When I run it from SMS, I get There are no available items that can be used with the command "status".
Home Status works in the same manner for me, so there is a BUG somewhere. Thanks for the confirmation and saving me the time of starting from scratch. Just for clarity... Home Status work from SC, but does not work from Alexa or SMS (Siri)..

Same here, no luck at all. I can open and close the garage door from the SimpleCommands app. But voice commands to Alexa are not working. It's funny, I couldn't get garage door status before with the SC skill, but I can get it now with Home Status skill.
I just found a different command. Apparently now I have to say "open the garage door with home status" and "close the garage door with home status". It works, but I'd sure like to have a shorter phrase for it.
Alex's is easy, once you create routines in SC, run a discovery. Alex will add the routines from SC. Go into the Alexa app, Create a routine, Name it whatever, hit next "When this happens" and select Voice then type in the phrase "Open Garage". Hit next, under add action select "Smart Home", then control scene and look for the SC routine, select it then select the routine you created in SC to open the door.
Now if anyone knows how to delete the SC account please let me know. SMS is all screwed up and I can no longer log into the app. Sent a message to SC support and haven't heard back.
Not sure what's going on with Simple Commands but it stopped working again.. The fix was easy...ie. Sync "myQ Openers. Has anyone gotten any responses from Simple Commands Support? My gut tells me the SMS interface is having the same issues we have experienced but not sure who needs to fix this.... same with Home Status .. they do not work when that can't find the devices. I also wonder with the new interface...if there is other configuration required but have not found any instruction yet.
MyQ Openers still working and the associated SMS notification emails started to work again. My guess is that changes/fixes had to be made to catch up to the changes that were made to Simple Commands. The only thing that has not caught up is asking Siri or Alexa for "Home Status" which used to give me the position of my doors. Can't seem to get a response of answer or if I just need to be patient for bugs to be worked out.
Everything has been working for me including SMS and home status.
Everything is working for me EXCEPT home status and not sure why since it was the easiest to setup from the start. After periodic disables and enables home status still does not work and continue to get the message "Your simple commands account has no devices available for the home status skill". It almost makes me wonder IF the account login is confused and made an error. The Alexa app seems to store the login to simple commands... I wish I could fine where it is stored so I could confirm the login. I just tried to re-synch MyQ Openers in SC and then disabled Home Status and kloee for SC and then enabled and got the same old message.. no devices. Somehow I have broken the link needed for the Alexa Home Status skill to see the Simple Commands Home Status Item. Short of deleting everything and starting over cannot figure out any fix and not sure its worth that. Any ideas appreciated at this point.
Anyone tried to get voice announcements working with myQ? That seems to be completely broken.
I have several issues. I can log into SC on my laptop, but not my cellphone. Same as above. I am trying to get access to my garage doors, via Alexa. I have a feeling that it is in the Amazon side of things as they are pushing for people to allow access to their garages via the Amazon Key. For obvious reasons, I don't want to allow this. I think they have written code around the SC to lock us out. Anyone else?
As of 12/16 I can access SC via computer, laptop, iPhone and can control garage doors via Alexa and Siri. My only issue is that ever since changes back August I can not get “home status” to give me the current state of the doors. Others do not seem to have that issue, the only thing I have not done is to delete everything and start over from scratch. I am using the “Smart Garage Hub” btw.
Home Status (providing the position of the doors) has not worked for me since 9/30 and I have periodically tried as recent as 12/16 via Siri and Alexa without success. Today without changing anything i tried and it is again working. Not sure why thanks anyway.
Since the last one week can't add MyQ-openers to all items in SimpleCommands gives error: "Invalid_request".

Currently using IFTTT app but it only closes the garage door by command "Alexa, close garage door" but no option for open it.
Using MyQ with SimpleCommands on iPhone to control the garage was working since December of 2020 and no longer works. I was getting "The User's Token is Invalid" error. When logged in the SimpleCommands website is says to press the "Fix" button but does not work.
I deleted the connection and when adding it back it askes for the MyQ email and password but says its invalid when it is not invalid. Why is SimpleCommand not accepting the email and password for MyQ?
