Cannot create MyQ connection
I am not able to create a connection to MyQ. I get unknown credentials every time. Have absolutely confirmed my credentials. Have tried both on the app and the web interface from PC. Am I doing something wrong?

I have the same issue and unable to login to MYQ from simple commands to setup a connection. Anyone suggest what we are doing wrong
I was getting the same thing. I found the fix.
When you click on add a connection DO NOT SELECT MYQ, Instead you need to select the one that says Generic Garage Door Opener. It will ask for you MyQ login
Still not able to login or sync with any of the chamberlain or myq credentials. I do NOT know what else to do to get this to login or sync - please help
I have the same issue. Looks like the API has changed
Agree with Gian. There is no 'other' garage door option now and the myq option always gives an error, even with known good credentials.
I also do not see the 'other' garage door opener, and I have confirmed my credentials for MyQ is correct (even using copy/paste). However, I still get the invalid credentials error every time. Is there something I'm doing wrong? Have folks solved this since the last post?
Paul Chapman it looks like MyQ may have changed the API so SC no longer connects. Just started today. I deleted the MyQ connections after clicking on fix (which did nothing) so followed the suggested delete/re-add and receive the same error that you do.
David Jones, thanks for the confirmation. Hopefully, something can get fixed. I just got the MyQ on the Amazon Treasure truck, now I'm wondering why they would promote something that works with Google, and not Alexa, even if it was through SC
Same myq login creds not working. I submitted a ticket, will see where it goes.
Same here, SC cannot connect to MyQ using known credentials.
I am having the same problem that Kevin Lavigne mentioned
Yup. Mine stopped working as well yesterday. When I went into Add Remove Items and into Manage Items, there was a message under MyQ openers confirming there was an issue and to delete link and re-add it. I did delete just the MyQ connection with no joy. Deleted full Simple Commands app and retried with a new download from Play Store with no luck.same issue with "Invalid credentials, please try again. I guess it is a known SC Problem.Hoping we get a fix soon.
Same problem as described above.
Same problem, looks like Chamberlain changed their API.
It’d be nice if SC sent out an email to their users letting them know there’s an issue instead of all their users trying to figure out the issue.
I’m sure everyone here deleted their devices and will need to recreate all their routines and Alexa links. That’s unnecessary and could’ve been avoided with a simple email.
Same problem
Solution: If you are using Apple Shortcuts, replace the MyQ API code with JVM/G9Nwih5BwKgNCjLxiFUQxQijAebyyg8QUHr7JOrP+tuPb8iHfRHKwTmDzHOu
This works! (And SimpleCommands, Alexa or Google is NOT needed)

I'm not sure how to do that, and how I can get geofence open/close to work again.
It might be necessary to learn more about Shortcuts and how they work. There’s likely some good tutorials online, just Google for them.
Getting a different error message today.
Blessing Dragon Ok so I have added the shortcuts of Open, Close & Toggle from the article.

I had to click on the shortcut links on my phone to add them. Then like the post mentions, I updated my email, password, & garage door name and the API script info. the script runs but then stops or errors at this section:
or any ideas what to try next?
Cory Schmaltz, you're doing exactly what you should be. Now, find the section for the MyQ API and replace what's there with the one I posted. Try. It should work a charm!
thats exactly what I just stated, and it did not work,
Same error as Ron G
Cory Schmaltz, sorry, I misread your post. The only difference I see, which one would think shouldn't make a difference, is your is the Close Garage action, which I never use, and I'm using the Open or Toggle shortcut. For some weird reason, when I ran Toggle first thing this morning, Shortcuts came back with a "no URL" error. I deleted the Shortcuts (Open & Toggle) downloaded new ones from the link you posted, did all the substitutions and they both now work. Only thing I might suggest is try the other two, see what happens. If none of the three work with the new API key, I don't have a clue since they work here. Post if you find something different. (There's another set of shortcuts on Reddit, but I was erroring out on those. I hadn't replaced those in my shortcuts, so not sure if the new API key works there or not.)
Got word back from support - I'll wait for their fix.
Thanks Ron G
The Reddit page linked by https://simplecommands.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/profiles/417163850113-Cory-Schmaltz also links to an “improved” version of the commands. Just as an FYI, those work (for me) if the MyQ api is changed as well.
Thanks Ron G
I went from the invalid request message back to the invalid credentials message today. I have verified that my credentials are in fact correct in my myQ app. Please advise how to get past this.

Same thing here - at least its a sign that they're working on it.
