I have followed the directions to a “T,” but Alexa will not open my MyQ garage door. Alexa will close my garage door, but I cannot get it to open the garage door at all.
So I'm also a Newbie but was able to get this working on my own with Alexa just fine. Maybe I can help.
First up, I made the mistake of adding only the "Home Status" skill to Alexa. I needed the "kloee for SC" skill as the instructions mentioned.
Next, make sure that when you add the 'kloee for SC" skill that you link it to your SC profile
Also, once you link the skill and have created the routines as the directions mention, check that the scene is listed in Alexa. This will confirm that Alexa can see the SC skill and is aware of the routines you created in SC.
Check those and report back and maybe we can then help you from there.

I can't get my login to link the skill Kloee for sc to the Alexa app. It says wrong password and email.
